  this was started and finished through a night in Andy’s living room after I drove to the city after finding out a close internet friend had passed away– but I couldn’t yet know which of them was gone until their parents were ready to share the news. It was a bizarre and terrifying liminal space of emotions. This was the fourth friend I lost in the last three months of 2020. This was a sort of meditation, a grounding. The song is built out of a melodic mantra we were taught in my 5th grade class to calm us during bouts of anxiety: “Hey, you’re okay, you’ll be fine: Just breathe.” but the rounds of vocals are spindled out of the phrases “I feel like I’m going to die” and “It’s fine, it’s alright; Just breathe.” The phrases interrupt and overlap, taking turns both corrupting and asserting the core mantra’s calming intention. It is an existential affirmation, no matter which way the words wind together, – it’s effect left to depend on how comfortable you are feeling with death. ... more

  put together with scrappy raccoon resources and raccoon hands: the album is burnt on white cds, each coming with a uniquely stylized title drawn by yours truly. the inside cover is scribed with additional album details and customized thank you notes and doodles.
  
  if there is a particular copy who's illustration you are drawn to out of those various examples included in the merch image, or you want to give ~words of inspiration~ to guide my labelling of *your* very own copy, feel free to leave those remarks in the comment section when checking out (however i can make no guarantees you get the exact disc you want). and if you're gonna do all that typing-in-boxes anywho, maybe leave some words under the album itself too– your commentary brightens my day and helps me out!
